Environmental accreditations: ISO 14001:2008 Environmental Management System, audited by SGS Legal compliance of emissions to atmosphere, water, and land are key parts of this standard.
EcoVadis: Thames Technology has been awarded the silver sustainability rating by EcoVadis, placing it in the top 25% of organisations working towards sustainability and offering greener products.
Social responsibility: Thames Technology are a corporate Sponsor of Essex Wildlife Trust.
Energy Recovery: Thames Technology were awarded Low carbon Business Award for our heat recovery project. Our despatch & stores are heated using waste heat from compressed air process.
Energy minimisation: Recent new installation chiller with free air cooling, this uses whenever possible, ambient air to cool lamination plates, reducing carbon footprint New LED lights instead of Fluorescents to improve illumination and reduce carbon footprint.
Waste: Over 90% of Wastes Recycled; Precious metals, ferrous and non-ferrous; Plastics, PVC plastics, Mixed plastics; paper cardboard; Florescent tubes, mercury and glass used to make new ones; chemicals, organic solvents used for fuel for cement kilns. No wastes from site to land fill, general wastes are used to make pellets for power stations.
