About Thames Technology

Since being founded in 1994 as a manufacturer of gift, loyalty and membership cards, we have grown in both size and stature, producing more than 250 million cards a year for customers in over 60 countries. We’re proud of our history in designing, manufacturing, personalising and distributing some of the world’s largest card programmes. We are one of Europe’s largest and most trusted card issuing partners; a market leader in payment and retail card programmes and invest in the latest technology to deliver the best service and innovation.

Part of something bigger

In October 2019, Thames Technology became part of Paragon ID, a leader in identification solutions in particular in the e-ID, transport, smart cities, traceability & brand protection and payment sectors. Paragon ID is owned by Grenadier Holdings (formerly Paragon Group). Grenadier Holdings is an international organisation owning companies in over 30 countries with a global sales reach, €1.5bn turnover and more than 10,000 employees.

Our Commitment to the Environment

At Thames Technology, we always strive to be a ‘green’ manufacturer. Currently, all plastic and over 90% of other waste is recycled. We also constantly review our processes. In recognition of this, we successfully achieved the ISO 14001 accreditation in July 2010.
