Thames Technology accelerates growth in Australasia with new head of sales
John Barbounis joins as Head of Sales in the APAC region
Thames Technology is delighted to announce that its parent company Paragon ID has appointed John Barbounis as Head of Sales in the APAC region to increase support to customers based in the Australasia region.
With over 30 years’ experience working across all areas of the card manufacturing sector including loyalty, payment, and gift card solutions in various industries including retail, financial, government, aviation and travel, John brings expert industry knowledge to the team.
In his most recent position as the General Manager of Acquisition at ABCorp Australasia John has coached and mentored other sales professionals while also being directly involved in budgeting, forecasting and overall company growth.
In his role as Head of Sales across the APAC region, John will be supporting the APAC Regional General Manager, Steve Andrinos in promoting the various products and services offered by Thames Technology.

In addition to working as part of Thames Technology, John will also support the promotion of Paragon ID’s wider offering. This includes solutions for secure ID, transit and parking ticketing, airline baggage tags as well as the asset tracking solutions offered by Paragon ID-owned track and trace solutions provider, RFiD Discovery.
