Thames Technology achieves EcoVadis Gold sustainability rating

Sub Heading
Thames Technology’s progression to an EcoVadis Gold sustainability rating, its strongest yet, reflects company-wide effort and a significant year of certification, audit and compliance activity.

Thames Technology has achieved an EcoVadis Gold sustainability rating, placing it among the top 5% of companies assessed by EcoVadis over the previous 12 months.

The result marks year-on-year progress, reflecting the sustained work by colleagues across the business.

What does the EcoVadis Gold sustainability rating mean for Thames Technology?

For customers, partners, employees and other stakeholders, the rating provides an independent point of reference for how Thames Technology manages sustainability.

It reflects the policies, actions and evidence considered through the assessment and highlights opportunities for further improvement.

From Bronze to Gold: progress built over time

Building on its Silver rating in 2025, Thames Technology has continued to strengthen its approach. Each assessment has helped the company identify strengths and priorities for action, creating a stronger foundation for responsible decision-making.

Achieving Gold required input from colleagues across Thames Technology. Particular credit goes to Louise Ford, Quality, Compliance and Process Improvement Manager, for leading the compliance contribution, and Penny Robertson, Senior HR Manager, for leading the people-related contribution to the assessment. Their work, alongside the wider team effort, helped ensure the company’s policies, processes and supporting evidence were clearly represented.

Commenting on the achievement, Craig Padley, General Manager at Thames Technology, said:

“Moving from Bronze to Silver and now Gold shows what sustained, shared effort can achieve. The Gold rating is an important milestone, but it also raises the bar: our focus is to maintain high standards, learn from every assessment and keep improving.”

A significant year for achieving high standards and maintaining compliance

The Gold sustainability rating concludes a significant year of audits, certifications and compliance activity for Thames Technology.

The company achieved ISO/IEC 27001 certification, supporting a structured approach to managing information security risks and protecting the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information.

Thames Technology also achieved ISO 45001 certification, which provides a framework for managing occupational health and safety risks and improving workplace safety.

During the same period, the company successfully retained its PCI compliance, alongside certifications to ISO 9001 for quality management and ISO 14001 for environmental management.

Together these certifications and standards demonstrate the breadth of the company's management approach, spanning information security, occupational health and safety, quality, environmental management and payment card compliance.

Why these achievements matter

For customers and partners, this work provides greater confidence that important risks and responsibilities are being managed through structured, externally assessed systems. It supports supply chain due diligence and helps organisations choose partners whose controls align with their own expectations.

For employees, ISO 45001 reinforces a systematic focus on safe and healthy work, while strong information security, quality and environmental systems support clear, reliable ways of working. For other stakeholders, these achievements provide evidence of governance, accountability and responsible business practice.

The Gold sustainability rating is an important milestone, but the company’s commitment to sustainability does not end there.
